Postmodernism is a design movement which evolved in the mid-1960s as a response to modernism (a range of art movement and ideas which emerged during). Postmodernists rejected the ideas and the obsession with progress of the modernists and challenged the principles expressed by the bauhaus and its followers.
Postmodernism saved as a pointer to future of graphic design developments as it involved new technologies and a more vast range of historical material which was already available to designers. It influence was very positive.
