What is Graphic Design?

Graphic design is the art of communication through the use of number of types and images. Visual communication and communication design are also synonymous with graphic design as they involve similar skills. Graphic designers use a combination of methods and technique to produce a final results. A graphic designer develops a visual arts design. Then there is the typography which is the art, craft and technique of a type design. Page layout which deals with the arrangement of the contents of the page, is also crucial to a graphic designer. With the introduction of world wide web and various computer softwares, a graphic designer can become involved in interface design. Finally there is the printmaking which is an important process. Furthermore, apart from these various processes which mainly involves technology, graphic design requires creativity and observational thinking.
